Beginnings are usually exciting. This is our first official trip with our church partner from Plano, TX. They adopted County Donegal as a mission point for their church last summer; this is an exciting beginning! Our team of eleven is well-prepared as most of them have done ministry with us in Ireland, so they know what to expect. In about six weeks, we will depart the US and look forward to seeing how God will use us and what He has planned as we minister to the community. Donegal is a popular holiday spot for the Irish, so we pray for many opportunities to share the gospel and show the love of Christ to whomever God puts in our path.

"What is your favorite place?"
I get asked this question a lot. It is difficult to select a favorite because each place is unique with its beauty and specialness. However, sometimes a country may hold a special place in our hearts. One such place for me is Greece. Growing up, my Uncle Jim traveled there frequently and would always share his slides and stories with us upon his return. I was enthralled by the exotic food he ate, the gifts he brought us, and the buildings and sites I had no inkling existed. I knew from a very young age I just had to see Greece.
Flash forward to the summer of 2004. Tony and I embarked on our first mission trip to...Greece, where we partnered with the Crown of Life Project to do street outreach during the Summer Olympics in Athens. The beginning of my life in missions started in a country that had been on my heart and mind for over three decades. Isn't that just like God? He is the Giver of every good thing.
Now, nineteen years later, I have an opportunity to return. My dear friend, Christy, invited me to co-lead a trip to Athens from November 2-11. The trip will be an outreach to the refugees from Ukraine, Iran, and Afghanistan. Please pray for us as we plan and for God to raise a team. I need to raise $2000 in funds for this.
