Back in the saddle again

South Africa While this trip has been two years in the making, our partnership with Africa for Christ in Motherwell, and the sending of teams from the US, has finally begun! Every day we went out in the morning to do evangelism (104 people heard the Good News of Jesus), then we had our workshops in the afternoon. Over 20 pastors were trained in Four Fields, 13 preschool teachers were trained and encouraged, and around 12 people came to a baking workshop to learn to bake from scratch as well as how baking could become a business for them. God is doing so many wonderful things in Motherwell and my church is already in the planning stage for taking another team next year.  The morning outreach was my favorite part. God blessed me with the opportunity to minister to a believing family as they struggle with a family member with epilepsy. I hugged and wept and prayed with a sister in Christ whose brother is suffering with dementia. This was a very sweet moment for me as I was able to connect with her because of my own experiences with my mother's dementia. One woman I shared the Gospel with struggles with alcohol and didn't know that Jesus would take her as she is and that His desire is to heal her. The Lord even lead me to a witchdoctor who welcomed me into her home, was open to hearing about God, but the minute I said the Name "Jesus" she demanded I leave.  I wish I could have done evangelism all day! Each morning I had a different person to go out with. But on the first day, my partner was a woman of strong faith who had been working in a soup kitchen. She told me that she had felt the Lord telling her to go out and share the "Living Bread" so she was lead to our training to get equipped to share the Gospel and make disciples.  Practicing the Gospel using 3 Cirlces Below are pictures of the preschool training, baking workshop, evangelism and pastor training. Poland Right before we left for SA we were invited to go to Poland, 10 days after we returned from Africa. We immediately said yes! Many of you may recall we took a team in 2016 and 2017 and we have been praying for God to open a door for us to go back. While I knew this wasn't going to be a typical trip leading a team, I truly didn't know what to expect. Over the course of 7 days, Tony and I traveled to 6 different cities to see how we could partner with churches and ministry leaders in Poland. Poland has received over 2.5 million refugees, some of them are staying in Poland, while others move on to other European countries. The Polish people are doing an amazing job meeting the needs of their Ukrainian neighbors.  They are housing, clothing, feeding them, and one question we had was, are we meeting their spiritual needs. Over the course of history, many tragic events have led to a move of the Gospel. We met with church and ministry leaders in the 6 cities we visited to cast vision, train and offer future help with meeting this great need. The reception was wonderful. They were extremely excited to receive training and tools to help meet this need, as well as the great spiritual need for the Polish people.  We genuinely believe the Spirit is moving in Poland and we are excited to have an opportunity to be a small part of it. Every leader we met with wanted more training and there was a felt need to unite other like minded-leaders to cast a vision for reaching Poland and Ukraine. We are prayerfully considering what role God would have us play, but at minimum, we feel we can help bring these leaders together to cast vision for what we believe God desires to do to reach Poland and Ukraine with the Gospel. God is the Giver of every good thing (James 1:17) and only He knows if He has plans for me to go back to South Africa or Poland but I am as I have always been, open to wherever He wants to send me.
